LINK Mobility: Guillaume van Gaver steps down as CEO

Today, LINK Mobility's Board of Directors has appointed the current CFO, Thomas Berge, as interim CEO. Mr. Berge, who has also previously acted as interim CEO at LINK, will take up his position immediately. He succeeds Guillaume van Gaver who has led the company since September 2019.

The board thanks Mr. van Gaver for his efforts during his time as CEO. In the period LINK was re-introduced to the stock market, expanded its footprint beyond Europe and invested in new communication-platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) solutions in addition to the application-to-person (A2P) business.

"Guillaume came to LINK to position the company in an evolving A2P messaging market. He was instrumental in the IPO process in October 2020 and under his leadership the company has expanded to the U.S. and invested in new CPaaS products. LINK is now entering a new phase where the transition from a private to a public company has matured and the strategic positioning is ready for the next step in fulfilling the ambition to become a top 5 global CPaaS player. Full focus is now on execution of this strategy, and it is the right time for new leadership,” says Jens Rugseth, Chairman of the Board.

“I have been with the company for many years and feel confident in ensuring continuity and execution on LINK’s growth initiatives. We will build on the rapid growth momentum for CPaaS and look forward to grow LINK into a top global company together with a new permanent CEO,” says Thomas Berge, Interim CEO.

The board has initiated the process to identify the next permanent CEO at LINK.
