LINK Mobility, Europe’s leading provider of mobile messaging communications, is pleased to announce that it has appointed James O’Hare to be its UK managing director. James assumes responsibility with immediate effect and will be responsible for driving the growth for the UK business.
James joins with a wealth of experience gathered from his time as sales manager at business information specialist Experian, and in leadership roles in the telecoms sector. James has proven expertise in leading and developing high performing teams to drive year on year growth and creating market leading customer experiences for clients.
James explains why he’s excited to be joining LINK Mobility UK: “I’m thrilled to be joining LINK as it sets out for further growth. The LINK team has made significant strides in the market this year, winning the Juniper award for best Rich Communication Services solution and being accepted to the NHS SBS Patient / Citizen Communications and Engagement Framework. These milestones demonstrate the commitment the company has to technology innovation and delivering world leading communications solutions to customers.”
This appointment comes at a pivotal moment for LINK customers. The pandemic pushed people to make more purchases online and by mobile. This has had an impact on the type of customer communications companies send and the volume. As a result, many organisations are still trying to identify best practice, while others are struggling to manage the increase in fraud that eCommerce models have encouraged.
“The immediate priority will be to help customers move out of the pandemic and back into growth,” adds James. “The reactive approach to managing the repercussions of Covid-19 has resulted in many companies adopting overly complex sales, service and communications models. They recognise this is unsustainable and need a technology partner who can help them adopt the new messaging tools their customers are using, such as WhatsApp, find ways to send personalised and timely offers to customer mobiles, and authenticate genuine customers quickly. We can do all that and more.”
Benoit Bole, Chief Operating Officer for the Western Europe region at LINK Mobility, welcomes James to the role: “We are delighted that James has joined us to lead this new phase of growth for the UK team. He is passionate about customer experience, a messaging technology enthusiast and has a clear vision for the growth in the UK. He also matches our LINK values and is committed to creating a great place to work as he grows the team.”
LINK’s Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) technology is ranked as ‘an established leader’ by Juniper Research because it can support a multitude of communication channels including new innovations in chatbot and AI communications and can be coupled with the provision of a managed service to brands. In February, LINK UK announced it has won a five-year deal with Specsavers.
