LINK Mobility Acquires FireText to Accelerate UK SSU Market Leadership

The acquisition, valued at approximately £9.7 million, is a key part of Link Mobility’s continued investment in the UK market and a significant milestone in our ambition to lead the SSU (SMS Software Utilities) space across Europe.

With a track record of delivering 99.99% uptime, ISO27001 accreditation, and a platform trusted by approximately 2,700 customers. The company has a solid footprint within the public sector in the UK serving as an established provider for NHS and UK Government. FireText brings both technological strength and customer-centric values that align with our vision.

This is the third UK SSU platform Link Mobility has acquired in the past six months—following our recent acquisition of The SMS Works and Reach Interactive at the end of 2024. Together, these strategic acquisitions make Link Mobility a dominant player in the UK SSU market and significantly expand our capabilities.

What does this mean for FireText customers?
There will be no immediate changes to current services. Existing customers can continue using FireText as usual, supported by the same expert team. In the near future, users can expect access to additional functionality through the Link Mobility ecosystem—including RCS messaging, WhatsApp Business messaging, and enhanced integrations.

This acquisition further strengthens our position as the go-to provider of secure, scalable, and innovative messaging solutions in the UK.
